Liverpool Games 2006

Heya girls! And anyone else who's reading..

Liverpool Games 2006 hosted by the Liverpool Malaysian society is a one day event where netball and football teams from all over the UK compete in Liverpool.

Hahaha, technical banar aku mendescribe atu, mcm buat newspaper. Anyways, believe it or not, Liverpool Games (LG) was organised like 2 wks before it was meant to happens, so organisation-wise, it was very hectic. Prasanku lah. I mean it got up and running tapi several teams didnt show up on saturday atu.

So, the Liverpool girls, basically me, Aimi and Sue decided to join in wth the Leeds team 2-3 days before LG. How crazy is that?? Mcm spur of the moment kind of thing. Well..i kinda wanted to play actually coz i missed netball so much. Baik jua ada dangan kan main, the Leeds team! Whoop whoop.

Abbee ckp it shud just be a praktis kind of thing for the BruNotts thingy next yr, so aku pun mana saja lah. We just wanted to experience playing together. The team consisted mainly of Malaysians and they were very nice...and very handal. Coming from me, thats a huge compliment. Wahahaha.

For that one day i was known as...HUDA.

Abbee brought an extra jersey, so might as well pakai kan. Tapi it disrupted the guy eye candy game coz drg nda tau namaku sebenar...booo. Hahahaha.

So, the netball tourney was so much fun. I admit i was a tad out of prakis but prasanku main netball ani like riding a bike, once u learn u never forget. Bukan kah gitu cham? Hehe. There were supposed to be 7 teams that day tapi only 4 teams turned up, 2 teams from Cardiff, Liverpool and Leeds. We played 4 games each and we had 3 wins and 1 tie. Pretty good statistics considering kami baru bejumpa and baru jua kan main sama2. HAndal jua udah tu. The malaysians were very good players. And we had this super tall GA, Min and shes amazing. Mcm galah ani wah. I was so glad i wasnt going against her. Hahaha. Tinggi amat deh.

Oh, just in case saya terlupa, we played OUTSIDE!! In the freaking cold where it was just bagas ujan and the wind was freaking windy and COLD! Baru tah ku pernah main sajuk2 diluar. Hahaha. It was a good experience pulang, prepares us for Notts games nanti. Wahahaha.

And another thing..i terpelicok again.. damn this right ankle. I was extra careful. I swear cham! Haha. just landed the wrong way....AGAIN! Ahahaha. Tapi baik jua not as bad as masa sprain di MS masa atu, i could still play 4 more games after that. I paid 4 pounds for LG, i deserve to get the most out of it. KAn? kan? kan? kan?

Okay...atu saja dulu ya...i need to do a crapload of laundry...its 3 weeks worth...so i hope its gna fit dlm the washing machine. Im gna try. Hahaha. Wish me luck. I will post up some more pictures soon insyallah. Enjoy these ones dulu ya?

London Calling....Part I

Assalamualaikum lush and cham,

As promised i have posted up these pictures from the weekend in London. Its gonna be a two-part post, maybe even 3. Kita lihat lah dulu ye kawan2. Hehe.

London was fabulous eventho i didnt get anything there. Touring pun sadang2 saja, the weekend wasnt enough to go round London. Hehe. I loved the hustle and bustle of the city, but i knew aku nda tahan tinggal sana, mcm the people are so self involved in their own lives, dari usulnya lah. That was my first impression of it. Tapi kdg2 te-fantasize pulak saye...what if i did live in London...siok kali. Kalau ada urg finance kan. Lol.

Anyways, back to the pictures...

This is a picture of me and echam outside brunei hall. Sampai jugak kita gambar kat luar nie kan cham. Siok lah. We made our mark di Brunei Hall eventho a lil mark, a mark all the same.

Cham, jan ko prasan ah, aku sengaja randahkan diriku supaya ko usulmu tinggi. Plus....u were on ut tippy toes. Nyahahaha.

Ani arah tampat main futsal, astro turf kah namanya masa di Leicester masa atu. Gila sajuk Leicester atu...mengiggil ku all the way balik kerumah echam. I didnt wana soak myself in hot water tarus for fear everything might just fall off. hahahaha. It was THAT cold.

Me and echam again arah London Underground. I remember that day kami malar train hopping. It was fun tapi mengelirukan. Hahaha. Tapi its a learning experience kan. So....why not?

Well...i hope u girls are well and fine in ur respective places. I wud love to just drop everything and come visit for a week or so, but cannot....ada assignment and shit. But..i do miss you and wish we weren't that far away to begin with so jumpa2 ani not that big a deal.

Ah well.....this can be categorized as a challenge and obstacle yes? Im sure we'll (esp me) will get over it. Xmas holidays is not that far away, insyaallah we'll meet sooner than each of us will think. Amiinnnn.

Right....atu saja dulu yea? Gotta get back to reading which i would probably not do and leave for the ever so handsome Wentworth Miller. Wawaweywa. haha.

Hii lush..hi cham!!

First and foremost....just wanna say that....LIVERPOOL FREAKIN' ROCKS!! It's finally kicked in. Hahaha. I mean, London was okay too..but cukup tah for the weekend saja. Coz i really missed Liverpool when i was away for the weekend. Which i found quite odd. Hehe/

Anyways...this weekend...monday was tough coz it was hard to get back into that whole school routine thing, mcm over the weekend, te-ilang sikit that groove. Manakan, i was having too much fun seeing everyone. Despite several people being moody and unresponsive, t was pretty alright. Had fun with echam. And finally got to see syazwie after so long. That was great.

I will post up the london pictures soon, right now i just wanna elaborate on how awesome liverpool is. So, monday was a pretty easy day for me. Class started at 12 and lasted for an hr saja...so inda luan strenuous (luruskah ejaannya tu...aku na peduli rite now). Then on tuesday, we had this group presentation meeting arah guild, its like a place for students to hang out.

Me and gemma noticed like buses and big trucks arah the back of the Guild ani, and i remebered yg c yuud kata ada Bullet for my Valentine playing. Sekali i told c gemma, and kami pikir tickets sold out, and rupanya ada lakat. Kami terus beli. Aku lagi tia, impulse banar coz i dont even know the band that well. I've only heard of ONE song saja.

So,kami pergi liat lah this band. Banyak kanak2 emo/punk. Mcm cawie rasaku, i felt so old, eventho aku dress mcm drg, like with black hoodie and converse shoes, tapi mcm rasaku tua bah. They look so young. And masa kami meliat the band, this kid who looked abt 12 came up to us and just gave us a hug, sorang2 lagi tu. And it was a good, proper hug. Bisai. Tapinya the kid was drunk. Capi bah. Random banar lagi tu. We didnt even know him.
This picture is a really good one, he's the bassist for 'Bullet for My Valentine". Look at how close i was, mcm bisai aku ambil gambarnya, Haha. The band was okay, its too heavy metal for my taste. Ada some songs lawa, like Tears don't fall sama...All these things. Tapi throughout it was really heavy and urg lagi asak2, mengandat2 yatah annoying sikit. And someone spilled beer arah my feet, so that was pretty disgusting coz beer has this kinda sick smell to it. Bida baunya. haha. Gonna have to wash my clothes soon then. Another picture of the bassist...i think he's dead FIT. Thats the new slang aku pick up disini...FIT meaning HOT...lawa..Hemsem to the max.

That was the concert on Tuesday night, tonight, i went out again coz my lecturer bawa me and my coursemates out to drink arah this really cool pub called the PHILHARMONIC pub. I liked the pub, apparently john lennon pernah pegi minum sana. So it has a lot of history then. I decided to go coz it wasn't far from Mulberry and i thought itd be nice to bond with my coursemates.

AT first i didnt noe what to wear coz ive never been out masa malam2, yth i contemplated on what to wear. Then i remembered this really gorgeous top yg echam bagi, so i have YOU to thank CHam, my best friend in the whole dunia. IT looked really nice. I wore that with my black trousers and beads and heels. I finally looked like a pretty girly girl after like what...2 months of looking like a boy with boobs...or as Gem would say...'i look like a butch lesbian'. hahahahaha....inda ku tepikir kan phrases catu.

This is me and Lisa and her boyfriend Mickus. Lisa is nice and Mickus calie berabis, he''s one of those people, like, when u meet them for the first time, drg biasa tarus. Bisai lah. Ngam ya dgn c Lisa. Dua2 crack. Hehe.

Another picture of the bassist, can;t get enough of him. He has that rough voice..mcm rimau...coz its that kind of music yg ada mcm ngauman singa atu. Remember when i used to do it cham? Lush? Zah?

This is me and Jon...aku sorang saja panggil ya Jon...Nama sebenarnya Jonathan Greenstein a.k.a Jonny..tapi i find Jonny too long a name to say, yth ku panggil Jon. He's nice but a bit crack-ish..he's a bit of a crackhead too. Lol..eksen..hehehe.

Ayaka and Meez: This is my japanese friend. She's so perky all the time and shes nice too. Hehe. Everytime you tell her something..shed go.."Really??!?". That cracks me up all the time. Tapi now aku ada kwn jepun, so ada connection ke Japan nie. Set.

Gemma and Meez ---> Shes the first person i met in Liverpool and she happened to be in my course and became my first friend. Sukaku ya ani. Calie jua, crack jua...bisai. Sukaku hang out sama ya. Shes teaching me how to loosen up and stuff and shes nice. Definite friend material.

These are my two other coursemates, Lyndsay/Lindsey (i dunno how she spells her name) is the blonde and Sam, the brunette. They both actually started uni last yr udah but this yr drg tukar course, so yth bebalik arah first year undergrad lagi. So i think they're like 20-ish kali. U never know kan... Sam is nice, she talks to everyone and she doesnt seem to be the type to judge and look at u from top to bottom. Just plain nice. Lindsey is okay-ish. Aku alum brapa biasa with her, so starting to get to know her...hopefully ia baik jua...banyak jua ku kwn kan. Hahaha.

I've said too much already and aku pun ngantuks gila nie. Hehe. I have seminars tomorrow which i am so not looking forward to. But there are some things to look forward too..like drooling over these 2 hot guys di class. Me and gemma panggil drg Fittie #1 and Fittie #2. HOT amat gitu lo.

Hope you girls love the pictures as much as i loved getting them and experiencing Liverpool at night. I'm starting to get the hang of this. Insyaallah i'll be a pro by next year. Amiin.

Oh and P.S: I didnt drink, i just had soft drinks and i didnt even need to spend 1 p on anything since lecturersku lanja. Cool ah? haha. Baru ya. It was awkward pulang seeing ur teachers outside the classroom, tapi i think its for the better coz they're getting to know us better and vice versa. So Cool Beans!

hey y'all!!

tis officially winter!! times have gone back an hour, the days are pretty much shorter, sunlight only lasts like till 4 pm and its freezing cold!! aaaa
played netball in the malaysian nottingham games on saturday and macam we had to wake up at 5.45 sal the bus was SUPPOSED to leave at 6.30... hahaha gila ahh.. malam maseh wah di luar! sajuk lagey! ehh sakit eh.. had to sleep over at ka fizah supaya na payah jauh bejalan ke bus coz we were meeting up at leicester uni. my play wasnt particularly 'mantap'.. twas so.. ugh.. bida lah rasak ku aku main... ngaleh jua lah.. udah tah na cukup tidur and we lost only by 1 point to go into the quarter finals.. :( tapi takpe.. am not complaining lah.. ngaleh jua udah.. dunno if we (the team) cudve gone on jua.. most of the girls got so tired and took the train home instead of the bus sal klu kai bus we needed to wait till like 5.30 i think.. ugh. haha tidur lah on the way back.
on sunday, we invited the 'hazelians' over for showing our (me & yus) gratitude for helping us get settled in.. kira raya open house trus jua lah.. haha thanks ya y'all hazelians yang sedang membaca.. masak pun inda brapa.. compared to how y'all masak.. huhu

tengah memasak, yus said he was gonna get the tickets that we bought online for our london trip this weekend.. SUPPOSEDLY.. and udahnya membali tiket, ada tia mentext 'm otw dah nie' and then another text came and it read 'syg, aku bawa kawan uni ni ah' and i was ok with it plang na plang papa but then the 'jemputan' was at 6.30 and at the time it was ONLY 3.30! haha and aku ani mikirkan.. awal anie kah masa makan karang.. calie jua tu.. tangah masak kan melayan om puteh kah tu sapa kah tu.. cawie jua tuuu and it dint help that all i had on was a buruk t shirt and sluar tidur and an apron ganyaaaa ughh.. hahahaha

skalinya inda batah atu ada tia bebunyi loceng pintu! ku buka JENG JENG JENG... C MAS!! ehhhhh capie.. caya ku nada drg gito aku ya datang... udah ku bukakan pintu dengan penuh excitement dan sufress (surprise) nya.. aku ani nunggu c meez to jump out from NO WHERE to kajutkan aku.. and panya ya nada.. c mas datang atu pun impromptu... uhuu.. ssiuk lah ada c mas, tapi klu ada c meez and elush lagiiiii siuk

HUHU the boys went mad shopping!! haha mendulur wah c yus ah.. u all, sapa2 yang kemari under 'supervision' c icham sama c yus inda kamu lapar tuu i assure you! mas can vouch for that!! ah mas? c yus got 2 coats!! believe it or not! d burton and mas got a pair of slacks that i think looked good on him.. good choice mas..

oh and we also went to gap!! and ada this bubble vest yang gap kids pnya and lawaaaa habees.. aku sukaa! and muat aku!! so there are perks to being.. i wont say SMALL & FAT, i'll say vertically/horizontally CHALLENGED! hahaha wooohoo.. but it like costed 25 pounds.. uhuuu inda ku tebali! mahal yo.. i already bought one in purple anyhoo.. so maybe.. i thought.. id get it on sale klu masih ada.. huhu and this was on monday yea?

and today (Tuesaday) i went to lectures [Law (a real snooze fest) and Management Accounting] and met up with yus after.. i thought kan jumpa for lunch tapi nya c yus jumpa d newarke and i did.. ya suruh naik dulu and i wanted to borrow the toilet and a sweatshirt sal sejuk banar tadi pagee.. and then nya c yus.. bah ngambil sweatshirt dulu bawah katil, and i was like thinking eh.. behapa ya menaruh sweatshirt bawah katil ani? aku layan ja.. my immediate train of thought told me that it was because he had too many baju begantung already in his closet that this was just extra stuff that was nda important..

kalinya masa naikkan the tilam and the door to the bawah of the be.. i saw a gap bag and dint think much of it.. and then there it was.. c yus pulled it out THE EXACT BUBBLE VEST THAT I SO WANTED!! uhuuuuu ya belikannn!! aku sukaaaa habeees!! hehehee

hahahaa i dont think i can take anymore surprises!! haha macam aku na suka surprises tapi suka jua...! hahahaha u get me?

These are my raya shoes which i got for 3 pounds saja. Usulnya macam sakit pulang, but lawaaaaaa....

Just wanted to share with you the latest shoes i've gotten. Teruk ihh, mcm theres more shoes in my room then there is food. Hahahahaha. But i love shoes! Esp PUMAS and the trip to Cheshire Oaks was really really really worth it.

If you girls kan turun ke Liverpool, i so know where to take u. CHESHIRE OAKS man, its only 3.50 pounds return from city centre. And theres like loads of factory outlet stores...and mana alang2, its DESIGNER!!. Theres GAP, LEVIS, NIKE, PUMA, BURBERRY...mcm2 lagi lah. BAH turun ahh. Hehehe.

Anyways...here are the shoes that i so so so love..

My sports boots..PUMA sports boots..comfy and warm. I LIKE IT.

These ones are adorable, i liked the design on them , mcm oriental dragon design..and it was only 10 pounds!! Bargain. Pandai ku mengunjar. Hehe, sesi angkat bakul.

So far, i've kept myself occupied with my shoes, ada yg aku lum berani pakai keluar. Too nice. Hehehe.

Cham, its shows that we're kindered spirits! We even got shoes yg sama masa di Lester masa atu, suka ku ihh barang2 murah anii. Hahahaha.

So, we've established the fact that Shoes are EVIL but they're a necessary evil...hehe. Whatever that means. Pokoknya aku suka kasut lah. Titik. Full stop. End of story.

HELLO winter...GOODBYE sanity!

Hi cham, lush and siapa2 yg sedia membaca..

Hari ani sajuk sekali didunia, eventho the sun is shining habis and generally gives the ILLUSION of warmth...it's not. But at least its a good thing its not raining coz rain + sajuk....not a good combination.

I guess winter is fastly approaching...mudahan tah okay..amiiin. And by okay i mean when i wake up nanti from sleep,i wont have frost hanging off my eyes and nose and other parts. Hahahaha. Ani udah ku kesajukkan, alum lagi masa ia banar2 sajuk...snow segala.

So, the main reason why im doing this post is to do another list. A part II of a 2 part series on "things you dont have to worry about living in the uk" but this time, it's things you DO need to worry about living in the uk.

Here goes.....

THINGS YOU DO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT LIVING IN THE UK.

1. Waking up in time for your classes, selalunya either parents or amah yg bangunkan.
2. What to have for breakfast. lunch and dinner everyday. Selalunya mama udah masakkan..miss mom's cooking =(
3. Sorting out your own bank details.
4. Paying rent on time...since its the first time you're away from home.
5. Eating more junk than you're supposed to. And don't blame it on winter and stuff.. =P
6. Budgeting and spending beyond your means.
7. Doing the right thing i.e to party or not to party...that is the question.
8. Having clean clothes (well not a major thing to worry abt, but kdg2 membari malas wah buat laundry anie)
9. Forgetting people back home, either intentionally or unintentionally.
10. Being alone for the first time in 19 years.

All this is not a definite and absolute list because this is just my take on it lah, especially being in a place where urg brunei inda brapa banyak and dispersed. Sama lah mcm kamu cham, tapi at least kami ramai-er than in leicester and lush, you have the ramai-est urg brunei di sana. MAke use of them, exploit them, use them, befriend them. Mwahaha.

It's not so bad being away from home for the first time in 19 years, all these things u worry about now will be nothing by next year. You actually do a lot of growing up during your uni years, so im hoping i become really mature and independent these coming months..amiiin.

What is your take on this? Living in the UK...YAY or NAY? I vote YAY eventho right now the NAY seems to be winning at certain times. Hahaha. UK just needs to open up to me, and vice versa.

I leave with this....welcome winter!! Dont be too cold now. Psssshhhhh
